Konstantinos D. Bitsios
Curriculum Vitae
I was born in Karditsa in 1972 and have been living in Athens since 1990, where I practice law and engage in professional, social, political, and other activities. I attended the 1st High School of Karditsa and hold a degree from the Faculty of Law of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (1996).

I specialized in European Criminal Law, Community Law, and Maritime Law at the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium, where I received a Certificate of Specialization in 1995. I also studied journalism at the Laboratory of Professional Journalism, from which I graduated in 1999. I am fluent in English (Proficiency, 1994).

I have been a member of the Athens Bar Association since 1998, and in 2001 I founded my own law firm. I have been practicing active litigation since 1993, with substantial experience in Immigration Law (as a founding member of the Hellenic Association of Immigration and Migration Law – E.D.A.M.), in Civil Law, with a focus on “over-indebted households,” as well as in Data Protection (GDPR).

My law office is based in Athens, with the capacity to handle cases throughout Greece, covering the relevant travel and accommodation expenses where required. In addition, I undertake cases in Karditsa, Corinth, and Kefalonia. For these three regions, my services are provided by appointment, without any charge for accommodation expenses.

In 2024, I was a proposed candidate for the European Parliament with SYRIZA – Progressive Alliance in the Attica Region.
On January 25, 2016, I registered the first Civil Partnership for same-sex couples in Greece, for myself and my husband—a landmark act carrying significant activist weight for the promotion of equality. In 2024, I achieved the recognition of the first adoption by a same-sex couple in Greece, contributing to a historic step forward in legal and social progress.
