Konstantinos D. Bitsios

He was born in Karditsa in 1972 and has lived in Athens since 1990. He practices law and, more generally, economic, social, political, and other activities there. He attended the 1st Gymnasium and Lyceum of Karditsa and graduated from the Legal Department of the National and Kapodistrian Athens Foundation (1996).  

 

He specialised in European Criminal Law, the European Community, and maritime law in the Legal Department of the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium, where he received a certificate of qualification (1995). He also studied journalism at the Professional Journalism Workshop, earning his b.a. (1999). He is an excellent connoisseur of English (Proficiency, 1994).   

 

He is a lawyer member of the Athens Bar Association since 1998 and in a short period (2001) founded the namesake law firm. He is qualified enough from 1993 until today with rich professional experience in Immigration Law (a member of the Legal Union of Foreigners and Migration – E.D.A.M. – since its constitution) and Civil Law (Specialisation in the law about households into debt).

On 25/01/2016, I registered the first same-sex civil partnership nationwide for me and my husband.
In 2024, I achieved recognition for the first adoption by a same-sex couple in Greece.
